Hemp hurds are the inner-core fiber of the hemp stalk. This is the woody, soft part of the hemp stalk. It's what's left over when the bark fiber is removed.
We use 100% whole hemp stalks, which is commonly called bast. Bast fiber is one of the strongest and most durable of all natural textile fibers, and will outlast others by many years. Hemp is strong, holds its shape, and stretches less than any other natural fiber.
